The mighty OnePlus 5T has been my daily driver for 16 months now. There not has been a day where i was like, man i could really use a new phone. The main advantage of this device is the battery life which still survives my day pretty easily and do i even have to talk about the brilliant dash charge at this point? It's miraculous to this date and it has only gotten better. The main disadvantage i would say is the camera system, which is good, but not that great. I have used the newer OnePlus 6T and still there seems to be scope for camera improvements. But this is totally not a deal breaker, OnePlus definitely hits the home run for a value seeker. This phone has never let me down and i can say with complete trust that OnePlus is the way to go. The performance has been legendary, to say the least. The phone never lags. Regular updates, super smooth gaming and amazing overall experience has been the accent of using this device. I'm a pretty heavy gamer and the phone has never lagged while playing games like PUBG or asphalt 9. The display is a delight to look at and media consumption is truly amazing on this device. The speaker is good and does the job for me most of the times. Although I've said the camera isn't great, it is definitely very usable. I've captured some of my greatest images using this device and for an average user, OnePlus will most likely cross expectations. For the past 16 months, whenever anyone has asked me regarding which phone to buy, I've never hesitated to recommend the latest and greatest OnePlus device of the time. They are and always will be, the value champs.
